The film got a low opening of 20 percent on Friday but soon the collections touch sky due to good mouth publicity. On Friday- 2.90 crores, Saturday 5.08 crores, Sunday 6.42 crores. In the first weekend itself it has crossed 14 crores mark after a slow start on Friday. On Monday it earned 2.52 crores, Tuesday – 2.74 crores, Wednesday – 2.23 crores, Thursday – 1.91 crores. It has taken the Mom first week total to 23.80 crores.

Released over 1300 screens in India, it got great earning in the first week. And the good news is, it will again retain 700 screens in its second week. Even after the new releases like Jagga Jasoos and Onir’s Shab. Interestingly, it has performed better than the other female centric films released in 2017. Mom has broken the first-week record of Phillauri which stands with a collection of 22.68 crores. It has also done better collections than Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan which has only earned 17.83 crores in a week. It can easily break the lifetime earning of Anushka Sharma’s NH10 which has collected 33 crores.

Talking about working for Mom film, Sridevi said, “I was in a different frame of mind while shooting for MOM. It was not a conscious decision where I decided to avoid talking to people for the sake of my role, but while filming, my head space and the character didn’t permit me and allow me to just be normal. I was in a shell, I was not communicating with my family as much as I normally would. In fact, my daughter told me at the end of all the shoots and filming that ‘Mom thank God you are back to being normal again’.”

Altogether, Mom first week collection is impressive and the film could easily cross 35 crores mark at the box office.
