Banaras movie has officially released in India on November 4, 2022. The screen time of this mystery romance film is around 2 hours 30 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around college student Zaid Khan aka Sidharth Simha and Sonal Monteiro aka Dhani. So, Zaid tries a prank on Dhani in Bengaluru which goes horribly wrong. Due to social media negative trolling, Dhani went to Banaras to stay at her uncle’s house. To say sorry for the mistake, Sidharth went to Banaras in search of Dhani. Will, Dhani accept Sidharth sorry for his mistake is what this film is all about. Well, there is a time-travel story also attached to this film, which is also the highlight of this movie.
This film also features Achyuth Kumar, Sujay Shastry, Devaraj and many others.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film is good but the first half looks just normal. Just before the interval we get a big twist where we know that this film is also a time travel saga. The second part is the highlight of this movie where this film takes a jump. The first half is a romantic saga and the second half is the time travel twist. Very few films are being made into this genre but Banaras director has done a good job here. The thrill element is there in the film which is surely like by the audience. If you don’t watch this film from start to finish, you won’t understand the film. The production value is low but the visuals are stunning. The bgm and cinematography are the highlight of this film. The dubbing is decent but it could have been better. Except one romantic song, other songs are not up to the mark. The screen time is 2 hours 30 minutes, which could have been trimmed for 15 minutes. The screenplay in the first half looks slow and abit boring but the second half is full of thrill-ride. The Hindi dubbing work is decent but could have been much better.

The cinematography has been done by Advaitha Gurumurthy. The editing work has been done by K M Prakash. The musical score has been given by B Ajaneesh Loknath.
Banaras movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could reportedly being around 9 to 10 crores maximum.
Altogether, watch this Banaras movie only for the story. The acting is ok but not the best. This film could have been better in terms of engagement.
