Tadka movie is the official Hindi release on November 4, 2022 on Zee5 OTT platform. The screen time of this romantic drama film is around 2 hours. Tadka movie is the official remake of Malayalam film Salt N Pepper (2011).
Story: The story of this film is located in Goa, India. So, the protagonist Nana Patekar aka Tukaram is a middle-aged archaeologist who also loved food but he is lonely and unmarried. So, he stays with a bunch of friends who wants him to get married anyhow. One fine day, Tukaram gets a random call of female protagonist Shriya Saran aka Madhura who is a RJ based in Goa and single too. This random call from Madhura will change the life of Tukaram and give him the Tadka he needed in the life. What happens next forms the rest of the story. Simultaneously, Ali Fazal aka Siddharth and Taapsee Pannu aka Nicole who is related to Tukaram and Madhura also fall for eachother but with a twist.
This film also stars Murali Sharma, Iravati Harshe, Rajesh Sharma, Lillete Dubey and others.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is beautifully written and presented even much better way. As, I didn’t watched the original film, so I liked the film even more. The dialogues in this film are matured and written as per the standard well suited to Nana Patekar and others. I have enjoyed every second of the film as the dialogues are relatable and connecting. Talking about the performances, Nana Patekar has left a mark here too with his effortless work. Even, Shriya’s role as a lonely soul in search of true love is praiseworthy. The direction work is good as it is not too slow or fast. Right from the locations to the performances, all fall in the right place. The cinematography is good but it could have been much better. The editing work is also decent as the film is just 2 hours and it didn’t bored you for even a second. My favourite scene in this film is in the climax where the two finally face off eachother. It is a soft-hearted film which gives a kind of vibe like Sirf Tum (1999). The film was shot in 2016 and it is being released in 2022. So, the film has been delayed almost 6 years for its release and that too on OTT. Despite a delayed film, this movie has all the tadka that you will enjoy binge watching. There is hardly a song in this movie which is just passable. The background score is good, which helps the movie story to flow in a right way.

Tadka movie budget hasn’t been revealed but it could reportedly being around 8 to 10 crores maximum.
Altogether, Tadka is surely a one time watch for its unique story and performances.
