The early reviews of Ranjish Hi Sahi is out now and they are in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 stars. Ranjish Hi Sahi holds 8.7 stars ratings out of 10 on IMDB.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Tahir is the lead actor and he essays the role of Mahesh Bhatt if we are not wrong. Tahir’s character as Shankar has a troublesome childhood and he wants to be a big director someday. Tahir’s character was good but it could have been much better. In the First few episodes, we see him passionate but sooner we see he seems to be off the track due to his bonding with Amna. Amrita even shines in her role, where she speaks less and performs more. The character that actually gives me a goosebumps is of Amala Paul as Amna, she outshone almost everyone in her complex role. The production value is ok but its the story that is so strong that you feel to complete the series in one go. This series will make you revisit the 70s and 80s era of Hindi Cinema which we are now known as Bollywood. Those were the real struggling days and conveying that story would have been a tough task for the makers. Still, I am ok with this series as it has something new to offer for the current generation audience. If you have seen Arth (1982) or Woh Lamhe (2006), you will understand that this is the similar thing that has been presented in the format of a series. This series is good in bits and parts and could have been much better I feel. As an audience, my eyes were on Amala Paul as she is the one who holded this series with her performance. This series seems to be liked stretched and could have been ended in 4 hours runtime. Despite few of the drawbacks, this series will still shook you up with the painful one-sided love-story and the trouble life of Shankar.

This series has been created by Mahesh Bhatt and being produced by Jyoti Deshpande. It has also been produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Sakshi Bhatt. The story, screenplay, dialogue and direction done by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj. The cinematography has been done by Sumit Samaddar and the editing work handled by Abhijeet Deshpande.

Ranjish Hi Sahi webseries budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could be reportedly around 8 to 10 crores maximum.

Altogether, Ranjish Hi Sahi did take us back in the 70’s era and gives us a glimpse of the Hindi Cinema behind the scenes story of a successful actress and a struggling director.

Last Word: Watch it for Amala Paul and its story.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: Ranjish Hi Sahi Review- Distinction (70 percent out of 100).
