Jai Bhim is the latest Tamil film which has been officially released on OTT platform Amazon Prime in four other different languages include Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada on November 2, 2021. The watch time of this crime drama is around 2 hours 44 minutes.
Story: The Story of this film set in 1995 in Konamalai village in Villupuram District, Tamilnadu. The story revolves around a tribal man Manikandan aka Rajakannu and his pregnant wife Lijo Mol Jose aka Sengani. One fine day, Rajakannu was called to catch a snake in a village’s president house and he did his work and left. Well, after few days, the president house was looted and they suspect Rajakannu behind this. Police barged into his home and torcher his wife, brother and sister. In the meantime, Rajakannu was out of town for work. When he returns, police also nabbed him and beaten badly. After few days spending in a lockup, Sengani was released and later being told that his husband had run away from police lockup. Now, Sengani tried all her efforts to find his husband but couldn’t find it. Eventually, due to the help of local village school teacher Rajinisha Vijayan aka Mythra, Sengani approached Madras High court Lawyer Suriya aka Chandru. Now, Chandru files a petition into the court that Sengani’s husband has been missing from the police lockup and police have filed a false case of robbery against him. Will, Chandru able to give justice to the tribal pregnant woman is what you need to watch in this film.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story talks about how lower caste people has been tortured in police custody. How, fake cases filed against them to get personal gain as promotions for police men. The story starts on a strong note and you become a part of the world that surrounds with Rajakannu and Sengani. The story is intense and gory at the same time. It is hard to watch when police beats the tribals in jail, even the pregnant woman. The torture these tribals have gone through has aptly been shown by the director. Rajakannu and Sengani are the soul of this film and Chandru is the hope here. The movie points out how tribals have no documents of their own, as they don’t have their own land or place to stay. The film has been shot in a grand way and the good thing is it is highly emotional and not preachy at all. Suriya’s character is something like the world needs right now. The screenplay was on the point and you don’t find anything messy here. The only problem you will find is the watch time of 2 hours 44 minutes, but it is a worth watch. The production value and cinematography are up to the mark. The background score give additional depth and touch to the story. Every scene in this movie have been well written and you can feel it when we hear it.

Jai Bhim movie has been written and directed by T. J. Gnanavel. This movie have been produced by Suriya and Jyothika. The cinematography has been done by S. R. Kathir and the editing work handled by Philomin Raj. The musical score given by Sean Roldan.
Jai Bhim movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 43 to 45 crores maximum.
Altogether, Jai Bhim is another good film from Suriya after Soorarai Pottru which released in 2020. Suriya is on a fire with such good movies one after another.
