Christopher is the latest Malayalam film which has officially released in theaters on February 9, 2023. The screen time of this crime drama film is around 2 hours 30 minutes. This film has been certified with UA certificate by Indian Censor Board.
Story: The story revolves around Mammootty aka DIG Christopher Anthony IPS, the chief of DPCAW. Well, unlike other cops, Mammootty is like a vigilante who don’t follow police protocol and kills the culprit without having a second thought. He handles many rape cases and give justice in his own way. People starts liking Christopher and his direct justice. According to Christopher, Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied. So, that’s why he goes against the law and order to serve justice. The senior officers in police department didn’t like the work ethics of Christopher and decides to form a committee to know the whole history about him and frame him if he has done anything wrong. Now, Christopher is set to face the biggest ever villain Vinay Rai aka Sitaram Trimurthi Aiyer, who is a businessman. What happens next is interesting to know. So, who is Christopher and why he is different from other police officers and why public love him is what you need to watch here.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film is decent which has been portrayed well by the makers. The first half if fast paced with huge amount of action scenes. The second half is a bit slow in the middle but ended on a high note. The screenplay could have been better in second half. The editing work is good but it makes us bored in the second half. Too much screen has been given to Mamukka aka Mammootty sir, which could have been avoided. The background music is good but only in some parts. Sometime, the bgm irritates you and it is not go with the flow of the story. The visuals are the highlight of this film, which gives much more meaning to the story. The first half is more emotional than second half for me. This film highlight the Nirbhaya case and also gives a message of Justice Delayed Is Justice Denied. This film mostly focus on the various rape cases and how it impacts the family life. The production value is good and overall it’s a worth for your money. Well, the film could have been better, especially in the second half. My favourite scene comes in the first half, when Mammootty along with his men fights a group of goons in the jungle.
Directed and produced by B Unnikrishnan. This film has been written by Udaykrishna and cinematography has been done by Faiz Siddik. The editing work has been done by Manoj and the musical score given by Justin Varghese.
Christopher movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 10 to 12 crores maximum.
Altogether, Christopher is definitely a one time watch and there are many things that you can learn from this film.
