Story: The story of this film is located in Lucknow city and revolves around Varun Dhawan aka Ajay Dikshit. He is school teacher and dreams big in life. Though, he is an average person but he showed everyone that he is such an intelligent person. Even, the school kids and principal is fascinated by his fake charm and smartness. He is now married to Janhvi Kapoor as Nisha Dikshit who is an epileptic person. Well, she told him about her illness but he still married. On the very day of their marriage, Ajay sees Nisha with her illness symptoms and now he don’t want to be with her. Sooner, we see that both his personal marriage life and professional job is on the toss. So, he decides to go to Europe with his wife Nisha. Well, the real story starts here as the director has boldly given references of World War 2 and how there is war going on in everyone’s life. How the director has came up with giving solutions of today’s people by referring World War 2 incidents is the crux of the story.

This film also stars Manoj Pahwa, Anjuman Saxena, Mukesh Tiwari, Prateek Pachori, Vyas Hemang, Shashie Vermaa and many others in titular roles.

The early reviews of Bawaal movie is out now and the critics have rated this film it in a range of 1.5 to 2 stars out of 5 stars. This film has received 7.0 stars ratings out of 10 stars on IMDB.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story and screenplay is different in this film and that’s the USP of this movie. I find this film interesting as it deals with a couple who is on the verge of divorce and how World War 2 incidents actually saves the day for them. The movie is pretty simple but the character of Varun is hard to digest. We have all seen Varun played such roles with ace in the past and therefore his character seems monotonous here and hardly anything left from him to fascinate the audience. Still, he managed to keep me hooked. Jahnvi’s role is good and I don’t find any issues with her. Though, she had to work more on her dialogue delivery and facial expressions. The emotions were there in this film but they will not able to move you the way they were expected too. The desi feel of this film has not worked for me as neither Varun looks like a Lucknow based boy nor Jahnvi. The makers could have worked on both the main characters to make it really believable. Marriage conflict is a relatable topic to many in India and this film promises to solve that to some extent. The message of this film is good and I feel that it is a decent film rather than a great or worst film. The background music is ok and there are hardly any songs that stays with you. The World War 2 recreated visuals have worked for me and that took the film to whole new level. I must say the director has given his heart and soul but he couldn’t able to convey the message in the right way. The production value of this movie is good and you will love to watch this film is best possible quality. The picturesque locations of Europe will please your eyes for sure. The humor attempt by Varun in this movie didn’t worked for me completely. All I liked is the director’s approach to say the story and connect it with World War 2, which I find though provoking and incredible work. The movie lacks soul and that’s the major problem. Movies do create amazing moments and here I feel that Ajay’s father and mother both had a small but effective role here which actually create some wonderful emotions. I feel that the makers could have made this film more realistic by skipping the comedy question out of this, that would have created wonders.

Written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari. This film also co-written by Piyush Gupta, Nikhil Mehrotra, Shreyas Jain. The story conceived by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. It have been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Mrs Tiwari. The cinematography has been done by Mitesh Mirchandani and the editing work handled by Charu Shree Roy. The musical scrore has been given by Daniel B George.

Bawaal movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly being around 78 to 80 crores maximum.

Altogether, Bawaal is surely a one time watch movie which excite you to some extent in the second half. The movie would have been a failure in theaters as per early responses.

Last Word: Watch it for Manoj Pahwa and the director’s unique concept.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: Bawaal Movie- 3 stars out of 5 stars.
