Oppenheimer is the latest Hollywood film which has been released across the globe on July 21, 2023. The screen time of this film is 3 Hours 10 minutes and it has been rated with UA certificate by Indian Censor Board. In India, the film has created history by getting 12 am show and 3 am show, which has never happened for a Hollywood film. This movie is based on American Prometheus Novel by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.
Story: The story is based on the life of Cillian Murphy aka J Robert Oppenheimer, who is also being referred to The Father Of Atomic Bomb. In this film, the makers shows the young days of Oppenheimer and his life journey from a normal physicist to world renowned figure. This movie runs in a non-linear way showing the past and present of Oppenheimer before and after the Nuclear bomb blast. We can see Oppenheimer personal life was on a toss as he is not so dutiful husband and had illicit relationships with others too! Apart from that, the makers has show the good side of Oppenheimer as he wants to make this Atomic Bomb to stop the ongoing World War II. Soon after the atomic bomb explosion of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Oppenheimer was being put to test to prove his loyalty for his country. Even, questions have been raised that he is working for USSR! There are various topics both pre and post nuclear bomb explosion have been explored about Oppenheimer. The movie is not a normal cinema, it is certainly made to question a lot of things about Nuclear Bombs and its repercussions.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: I am an Indian and for me it was really tough to digest whatever was going on throughout the film. Still, the emotions were there and which helped me to connect with the scenes. The movie screenplay is good and the non-linear way of presentation worked for me. The black and white framing also helped me to be in the world of Oppenheimer. Though, the fast paced dialogues is too difficult for me to understand in on go. I am sure, I will have to watch it again to get more into the world of the director. The movie has been presented like a time ticking bomb and didn’t want to spoil a scene while surfing through your mobile phones. The editing is superb along with the sound mixing, both of that have elevated the film for me to some extent. I feel the movie is majorly about dialogues and the makers could have slowed the pace of the dialogue flow would have been much better. The cinematography is superb and there are shots where we feel that a lot of explosion is going on in Oppenheimer’s mind rather than the real life. The fear of Nuclear bomb explosion and its impact to humanity can be really witnessed during a scene where the nuclear bomb test is being conducted in USA before its actual use. There are lot of things that you can understand only by looking into the eyes of Oppenheimer. There are few nude scenes are there, which could have been avoided or trimmed for world over masses. The production value is superb and it will make you feel like you are in 1940’s era. The grooming, dressing and makeup play important role here. There are some big actors that have been like given only few shots or scenes in this film, but I know they won’t complain as its Christopher Nolan’s film. With every film, the director comes up with something new and he surprises everytime and I think that is the magic of him. I have seen almost all his films, right from Following (1998), The Dark Knight and its sequel, Inception (2010), Interstellar (2014), Dunkirk (2017), Tenet (2020) and everytime he give so much into his film that you have no words rather than applause for his hard word. His every film is just a cinematic marvel and he is one of the best directors of contemporary times. I find his vision exemplary and his dedication to cinema is really a hope for future filmmakers. The background music also played a pivotal role here, as a lot of things have been told in this movie through the use of BGM rather than actual dialogues. It is certainly a movie to be watched and experienced in cinema halls only. Well, the screen time is over 3 hours 10 minute, which is a tough call for any viewers across the globe.

Oppenheimer movie budget is reportedly around USD $ 100 million (820 Crores). That means, it is Christopher Nolan’s one of the lowest budgeted movies in years and half the budget of his last film Tenet (2020).
Altogether, Oppenheimer is surely a must watch film in theaters if you love cinema and want to watch something new and interesting. As Christopher Nolan film always give a depth immersive experience film to audience which is always a great watch on big screen.
