Badland Hunters movie has officially released in OTT platform Netflix on January 26, 2024. This film is from South Korea and the plot of this film is very similar to Concrete Utopia (2023). Well, the backdrop looks same but both are different. The screen time of Badland Hunters is around 1 hour 47 minutes.
Story: The film is set in dystopian times, where only few people remains post the earthquake in Seoul, South Korea. So there are group of people living Badland who fights ruthless bandits and mutant creatures in order to save their community. Here we see, how a girl from this community named Roh Jeong-eui aka Su-na kidnapped by a rouge scientist Lee Hee-joon aka Dr. Yang Gi-su. This scientist want to bring her daughter back to life at any cost by doing some scary experiments on trapped young girls and boys. In order to save Su-na, Ma Dong-seok as Nam-san and Lee Jun-young aka Choi Ji-wan gets on a mission to kill the mad scientist and save their community girl. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
This film also stars Ahn Ji-hye, Jang Young-nam, Park Hyo-jun and many others.
The early reviews of this film is out now and Badland Hunters got 6 stars ratings out of 10 from IMDB and around 86 percent ratings on RottenTomatoes.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: So, the makers has shown us a world post apocalypse where there is a scarcity of water and foods. So, there is no law and people trade with each other through barter system. The main problem for all is water and they want to survive at any costs. They even eat rats, crocodiles to remain alive. I liked such films and so I must say that the director excites us in the start of the film. I enjoyed the film but i must say that the climax looks very average to me, which could have been better. I think, Concrete Utopia has displayed such story in much better way. Well, the only reason I liked this film is how the makers showed the importance of water in today’s time and in future. The action scenes were choregraphed well and I liked it. One thing i can’t believe is that, the hero Nam-san in this whole movie has not been beaten by bandits or villain even once. This film has few flaws and lacks emotional depth too. Still, I feel it has enough material to make you glue to watch from start till end. The story could have been written in much better way. The production value of this film is good and editing also works well for me. I enjoyed the action sequence in the last 30 minutes of this film. This film surely teach you the importance of life. The last scene is interesting, where we see rain pouring from sky that gives us a positive signal that the life of these people will be back to normal.

Kim Bo-tong and Kwak Jae-min. The musical score has been given by Kim Dong-wook.
Altogether, Badland Hunters is surely a one time watch film.
