Story: The story revolves a local old woman Phylicia Rashad aka Eloise Parker who runs an NGO and does social works. One fine day, her savings money was stolen by online fraudsters. This compelled the lady to kill herself without informing anyone. Jason Statham aka Adam Clay aka Beekeeper lives a normal retired life. When he got to know that his neighbor killed herself due to online phishing, he went full throttle to kill the people responsible for old lady’s death. Will, The Beekeper protect the beehives or find out the culprits behind the incident is what this film is all about.

This movie also features Emmy Raver-Lampman aka Agent Verona Parker, Josh Hutcherson aka Derek Danforth, Jeremy Irons aka Wallace Westwyld, Jemma Redgrave aka President Danforth and many others.

The early reviews of The Beekeeper movie is out and they are in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 stars. This film holds 70 percent ratings on RottenTomatoes.com and around 6.5 stars out of 10 stars on IMDB.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Online fraud is the biggest crime that is going on across the world, especially our country like India. This is so bad that people are loosing their life savings due to scam calls and emails. I loved how the film talks about this online scam. The story is really simple and it says that don’t loot the poor, if you do I will kill you. The director made this film in a fast paced way and there is hardly any time left for sobbing. If you miss a minute than you missed the story. The screenplay is fast paced and I liked that there is no major drama added to the film. Jason is like a one man army and he needs no help from anyone. He is capable enough to destroy the nexus of online scam. The action scenes are the highlight of the film, my personal favourite scene is when Jason had a fight with Taylor James (goon) at the end of the film. The action choreography will give you adrenaline rush for sure. This movie is not out of box or a masterpiece, it is one of those ordinary film that you can watch once in theaters and your money won’t get wasted for a minute. I liked how the director has ended the film, without any melodrama. Another character Agent Verona (whose mother killed herself) has a decent role to play. I felt a bit awkward to digest how a single man gets access to private and restricted places so easily. I think, the director didn’t wanted to keep us wait with the suspense, he just went on to give us mind blowing action without wasting our time. The background adds value to the story. You will remember this film for sure for its simplistic direction and story. The production value is good but I feel that film could have been much better it it had few emotional sequences too. The editing work was great and I didn’t find any scene boring at all.

The Beekeeper movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly being around USD 40 million (Rs 332 crores).

Altogether, The Beekeeper is one of those films that you will enjoy despite few flaws on big screens.

Last Word: Watch it for Jason and the story related to online phishing that is the need of the hour. I liked how the makers have connected the concept of Bees into humans in this movie.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: The Beekeeper Review: 2.5 stars out of 5 stars.
