The Super Mario Bros is the latest Hollywood film which has been released in India on April 7, 2023. The screen time of this animated adventure film is around 1 hour 32 minutes. This film has been rated with U Certificate by Indian Censor Board. This movie is based on a popular game by Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros.
Story: The story revolves around two brothers Chris Pratt aka Mario and Charlie Day aka Luigi. They both work as a plumber in Brooklyn city. They have started this business just recently and hope to make it big. One fine day, they find a big pipeline leakage in the city and Mario went there with Luigi in order to solve the problem. Instead of solving the problem, Mario along with Luigi have been transported to some other world. Mario has been transported to Mushroom world whereas Luigi transported to Dark World. Well, now both the world has only one villain which is Jack Black aka Browser. So, Browser wants to marry the queen of Mushroom world Anya Taylor-Joy aka Princess Peach. Will, Browser able to marry the beautiful queen? Will the two brother Mario and Luigi will meet again and back in real world? All these questions will be answered while you watch this movie.
This film also stars actors like Keegan-Michael Key aka Toad, Seth Rogen aka Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen aka King Cranky Kong, Charles Martinet and many others in key roles.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is very simple and presented it decently by the makers. There are hardly any exciting element in the story otherwise it would have been a great treat for the fans. Well, this is surely a film for the kids and they will love it without a doubt. So, if the kids come to the theaters, then ultimately the parents will accompany them. In India too, a city like Mumbai having good number of shows for this film, many are even housefull. With almost no promotion, the response in India is good I must say. Frankly, I have played different versions of Mario, Super Mario, so yes for me watching this film was a pure Nostalgia. The production value is good but it could have been better. Making a film like this is not easy at all, I would say it is a nice attempt to present this game based film for today’s audience. So, if you are 80s and 90s kids, you will surely get nostalgic watching this movie. The screen time is perfect and the editing is also ok. The first half is good but the problem comes in the second half where there’s hardly any thrilling element. The emotions were missing in this film else it would have been a game changer. The background music is so soothing and connecting that you want to hear it more. Not a perfect Mario film but not bad either. The screenplay could have been much better. Overall, the makers failed to connect everything properly and there are many loose ends to it.
