Shershaah is the latest Hindi film which has officially released on Amazon Prime on August 12, 2021. The screen time of this war film is around 2 hours 15 minutes.

Story: The story of this film revolves around Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War. He was martyred at the age of 24 and he is famously known as Sher Shah in Indian Army. This film is the official biopic on Vikram Batra where Sidharth Malhotra is essaying the titular role. Here’s the movie showcases the hardships of Captain Vikram Batra and other soldiers during Kargil War.

The basic plot is like Sidharth Malhotra aka Vikram joins Indian Army In Jammu And Kashmir in 1998. He is brave and have no fear to fight against the terrorists. In in the first half only, the makers take us back in the past in 1995 when Vikram met Kiara Advani aka Dimple in college, they fall in love. The story again comes to present in 1998, where Vikram can be seen doing his duties and getting along with Kashmiri people and their problems. The story than rushes to 1999 Kargi War and this is where the actual film begun.

Shershaah movie also stars Kiara Advani aka Dimple, Shiv Pandit aka Captain Sanjeev Jamwal, Jaaved Jaaferi, Nikitin Dheer, Himmanshoo A. Malhotra, Anil Charanjeett, Shataf Figar, Sahil Vaid, Raj Arjun and many others.

The early reviews of this film is highly positive and here are some celebrities who have watched this film on special screenings and have given their review. Bollywood Crazies Opinion: If I am not wrong it is the first biopic film of Sidharth Malhotra who did a phenomenal job in portraying Captain Vikram Batra. Right from the body language to energy level, Sidharth has actually lived the character. This is a life changing role for Sidharth and he did come out as victorious here just like India won Kargil War 1999. Sidharth and Kiara both look good together in the same frame. The production value of this film is too high and the makers have made sure that audience love it completely. Not to forget, the beautiful songs of this film, Raataan Lambiyan and Ranjha. The film takeoff in the first half the makers make sure that you get an adrenaline rush throughout the film. This is by far the costliest film of Sidharth Malhotra in his Hindi film career. The cinematography work is brilliant here as its always a challenging task for a cameraman to showcase war scenes and capture them correctly in camera lenses. The action sequences in the real locations added much authenticity to this war film. This film did infuse nationalistic feeling among the audience and that means its a well made film. A small spoiler here, Sidharth has played a double role here.

Shershaah movie has been directed by Tamil filmmaker Vishnuvardhan. It have been produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment. This movie has been written by Sandeep Srivastava and cinematography done by Kamaljeet Negi. The editing work has been handled by A. Sreekar Prasad and background score given by John Stewart Eduri.

Shershaah movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 50 to 55 crores maximum. If we go by the reports, it is being touted that Amazon Prime has bought the digital rights of Shershaah on a whooping price of around 70 crores, though no official confirmation yet.

Altogether, Shershaah is a career-changing film for Sidharth Malhotra and we hope he get big films soon after it. If Shershaah released in theaters that it would have been a big hit in normal scenario.
