Shaitaan is the latest Hindi film which has officially hit the screens on March 8, 2024. The screen time of this supernatural thriller film is around 2 hours 12 minutes. This film has been rated with UA certificate by Indian Censor Board. It is a remake of Gujarati film Vash (2023).
Story: The story of this film revolved around Ajay Devgn aka Kabir and his wife Jyotika and their two kids one boy and another girl Janki Bodiwala aka Janvi. Their family is happy until R Madhavan aka Vanraj Kashyap comes to their life. Vanraj has some evil intentions and somehow he controls the mind of Janvi. Vanraj enters Kabir’s home and starts controlling her daughter Janvi. Why Vanraj is doing this and is he a real Shaitaan is what you need to watch in this film.
The early reviews of Shaitaan is out and they are in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 stars. This film has been rated with 8.4 stars ratings out of 10 on IMBD.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is good and the execution is also decent from the makers. The first half of this film is good but the second half is just average. The screenplay has few issues as I felt bored at various intervals. Screenplay could have been more effective. The good thing is, the film is highly emotional and that makes you glued to the screens. If you haven’t watched the original than you definitely liked this film. Talking about performances, everyone has done their part well, especially Janki and R Madhavan. Despite few loopholes, this movie has a lot to offer to the audience. The background music is effective and makes this film more interesting. The production value is good and the visuals are also rich. The cinematography work is also nice. There are few songs only in this film but they are good and completely related to the story. I personally feel that Hindi audience will like this movie.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, this film has been produced by Ajay Devgn. The musical score has been given by Amit Trivedi and the editing work done by Sandeep Francis. The cinematography has been done by Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti.
Shaitaan movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could reportedly be around 28 to 30 crores maximum.
Altogether, Shaitaan is one such film that you must watch only in theaters with your family.
Last Word: Ajay Devgn film has some screenplay issues but it worked because of good performances and high emotions.
