Samrat Prithviraj movie has officially released in cinema theaters on June 3, 2022. The screen time of this historical biopic is around 2 hours 15 minutes 39 seconds. This film has been rated with UA Ratings and it is based on Prithviraj Raso by Chand Bardai.
Story: The story of this film is set in 12th century where we see Akshay Kumar aka Prithviraj in shackles in year 1192 at Ghazani, Afghanistan by Manav Vij aka Muhammad Ghori. He had to fought with two lions and if he still managed to save himself than he is free. The story again gone into past where the makers shown us the childhood of King Prithviraj. Again the story move ahead and we see the love angle between Prithviraj and Manushi Chillar aka Queen Sanyogita. Well, Sanyogita’s father Ashutosh Rana aka Jayachandra wasn’t agree on their marriage. That’s why Prithviraj entered the mansion of Jayachandra and holds Sanyogita hand and took him away for lifetime. This infuriated Jayachandra who ultimately took support of Muhammad Ghori in order to settle the scores with Samrat Prithviraj, Sonu Sood aka Chand Bardai and his whole team. What happens next forms the rest of the story. Sanjay Dutt also played an important role of Prithviraj’s Kaka.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story writing is beautiful and the direction is even more electrifying. Another positive point of this film is the background score and the energetic songs like Hari Har, Yodha. The production value of this film is good and every scene looks grandeur. Talking about the performance, Akshay Kumar played a brilliant role here as King Prithviraj. The dialogues by Prithviraj will definitely give you a goosebumps. The entry scene of Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj is best of all. Samrat Prithviraj climax is also electrifying. Even, Manav Vij aka Muhammad Ghori has did a commendable job in his negative role. Both Sanjay Dutt and Sono Sood need special mention as they have given all-time best performance here. There were some VFX problem in this film, especially for Akshay Kumar’s role and that looks visible on the screen. I mean a body double has been used for Akshay Kumar which hardly happens. The first half is abit slow but the second half is top notch. A well made film that is a must watch for all. The director has given his best shot here and we are proud of Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The editing work is good in this film as they have kept this film just around 2 hours 15 minutes. There is hardly any boring scene in this movie and its highly engaging. The action scenes are terrific in this film and the background music adds more value to it. This film has beautifully shown the valour of Samrat Prithviraj and I absolutely loved it.
Helmed and written by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, this film has been produced by Aditya Chopra. The musical has been given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the background score given by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara.
Samrat Prithviraj movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could reportedly be around 200 crores.
Altogether, it’s a well made film for the family audience and a must watch for all.
Last Word: Akshay Kumar is back with a bang once again and it will be a big hit film for sure.
