Nightbooks Review, Box Office Result, Hit Or Flop On OTT?

Nightbooks is the latest film which has released on OTT Platform Netflix on September 15, 2021. The screen time of this horror fantasy movie is around 1 hour 43 minutes. This film is based on the novel Nightbooks by author J. A. White.

Story: The story revolves around young boy Winslow Fegley aka Alex, who loves to write horror stories. He finds himself different from other people due to his interest in Horror stories. He even lost his bunch of friends due to this reason. One fine day, Alex lost his way and enters in someone’s room which later turned out to be a haunted house. Here lives a witch Krysten Ritter aka Natacha who demands a horror story every day from Alex or he would loose his life. In the same haunted house, Alex befriended with another trapped kid Lidya Jewett aka Yazmin. Now, the two of them must work together if they ever want to run away from this haunted house with locked doors.

The early reviews of Nightbooks are mostly positive in a range of 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. Nightbooks currently holds 5.7 stars out of 10 on IMDB and it also got 89 percent ratings out of 100 on RottenTomatoes.com.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Nightbooks movie story is interesting and that’s what makes this film a worth watch. It is a scary film without a doubt and there are elements when you will literally fear. Though, this film has been made for kids but even the mature kids feel scared after watching it. The screenplay and presentation of Nightbooks hooked me and I was completely engrossed into the story. Despite a screen time of 1 hour 43 minutes, I didn’t find it boring even for a second. I enjoyed this film but it could have been much better. Still, a movie that young kids with love but yes with the company of their families. The production value is good and it can be visible in various scenes. The scary Unicorn was something that I have saw for the first time and it was really shocking to the eyes. A well made film for the young audience. The VFX work used in this movie is good and that small monster was scary.

Nightbooks has been directed by David Yarovesky. Sam Raimi, Romel Adam, Mason Novick, and Michelle Knudsen are the producers of this movie. The cinematography work done by Robert McLachan and editing department handled by Peter Gvozdas. The musical score has bene presented by Michael Abels.The screenplay work have done by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.

Nightbooks movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around USD 18 to 20 million (132 to 147 crores) maximum.

Altogether, Nightbooks is one of those scary films that stay with you for long. This film has been made with a right amount of scare and adventure which worked here.
