Vijay is all set to surprise us with his new Tamil film Mersal. This is the costliest film of Vijay, which also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Nithya Menon. This is his second collaboration with Director Atlee, who has earlier helmed his film Theri in 2016.

In this particular film, Vijay is essaying three different shades of character. It seems an interesting film, whose music is being given by A.R. Rahman. The making budget of this film is 130 crores and it is about to release in 3300 screens.

As per the reports, Mersal will release in overseas in countries like USA, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and UAE. In Malaysia alone, Mersal got 800 screens, which is the highest screen count for Vijay. His earlier release Theri in Malaysia has earned 12 crores gross. We hope, that Mersal can break that record. Till now, the highest earning Tamil film in Malaysia is Kabaali, which earned 25.08 crores.

As per the early trend, Mersal will be releasing in 100 screens in Karnataka, 300 screens in Kerala and 400 screens in Andhra Pradesh. As per the early reports, Mersal will be released in over 600 screens in Tamil Nadu itself. The film is set to release on October 18, 2017.

Altogether, Mersal is one of the biggest films of Vijay’s career. We hope it turns out to be a super hit film.
