Lions Club of Bharat Icon honours Shagun Gupta for treating Breast Cancer survivors through Permanent Make-up

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) is an worldwide campaign which runs in the month of October every year.
During a riveting digital discussion organized by Lions Club of Bharat Icon in honour of BCAM, the inevitable discussion of the role of permanent make-up cropped up and the benefits which this miraculous form of practice can have on the survivors of breast or any other form of cancer were brought to the fore and discussed at length.

Permanent make-up procedures can have an extremely positive impact on cancer survivors. Once the battle with the disease is over, a woman is often left with a tired spirit and body which had been a battleground for months if not years, Permanent make-up and para-medical treatments have become a blessing for such women as it makes them feel a little more like themselves and helps them in regaining some sense of the old-normal of their life.

Sharing to media on how does permanent makeup helps cancer survivors, Shagun says, “For breast cancer survivors, permanent make-up can be used for Nipple/Areola restoration. Once someone is done with breast reconstruction there are techniques through which 3D Areola can be created.

She continues, “Post-chemo hair loss, Chemotherapy often harms the hair of a person. Permanent make-up can help with both hairs on the scalp or the hair constituting the eyebrows. It also helps them in creating natural-looking eyebrows with different kinds of techniques. We are also regaining beauty of accident patients.”

On this ocassion of Breast Cancer Awareness month, President of Lions Club of Bharat Icon Mr Akhil Bansal, who specially made a visit to the Permanent Make-up studio of Shagun Gupta honoured the Micropigmentation expert and says, “We are glad to take onboard professionals like Shagun Gupta as director for women empowerment in our club. She is doing fantastic job by making patients look beautiful post surgeries, chemotherapy process. Shagun gets their smile and confidence back as patient regains their hairs, eyelashes, eyebrows, nipples and etc through advance technology of pmu.”
