HanuMan is the latest Telugu film which has also being released in Pan-India level in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions on January 12, 2024. The screen time of this adventure action fantasy film is around 2 hours 38 minutes. This film has been certified with UA rating by Indian Censor Board.
Story: The story sets in fictitious village called Anjanadri where Teja Sajja aka Hanumanthu leads a normal life. He is mischievous young lad who has been taken care by his elder sister Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. One day, when his one-sided childhood love Amritha Aiyer aka Meenakshi got in to trouble by the goons in the jungle, that’s when Hanumanthu tried to save her. In the process of rescuing Meenakshi, he fall from the top of the mountain into the river. Deep inside the river, Hanumanthu gets some special powers which is related somehow to Lord Hanuman. Well, what happens next forms the rest of the so-called superhero yet rooted story. The villain of this film is Michael which is being played by Vinay Rai, who wants to be a superhero at any cost. What happen when he finds out the secret power of Hanumanthu? That is also an interesting thing to know about.
The film also has some strong supporting cast like Vennela Kishore, Getup Srinu, Samuthirakani, Satya, Raj Deepak Shetty and many others.
The early reviews of HanuMan movie is out and it has got around 9.6 stars ratings out of 10 on Bookmyshow. On IMDB, it has received 8.9 stars ratings out of 10. On an average, the movie reviewing websites gave it a rating in between 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Prasanth Varma is one of the youngest director of India who has already received a National Award for his film Awe (2018). Well, he has also helmed Zombie Reddy in 2021 which has also received acclaim in South India but his latest release HanuMan is garnering national attention from North to South. Interestingly, HanuMan is being loved by Hindi market audience and the shows have been increased to almost double that’s the magic of this particular movie. The story is so well written by Prasanth himself that you will not get bored for a minute in 2 hours 38 minutes film. The VFX and CGI are the highlight of this film, which has been achieved in throat-cutting budget of around 20 crores as per the report. Though, the VFX and CGI looks pretty average but better than big film like Adipurush (2023) whose VFX was totally let down. Now coming back to the direction, Prasanth has directed this film with pure passion and that’s why you will get serious and laugh one after another. The emotions are key to a film success and this film make you cry as well. The production value is great if we consider the meagre budget. The story is so good that you forget its flaws. The dubbing in Hindi is decent enough to watch but yes it could have been better. The movie has been made in such a way that even a small child who watches cartoon on TV will also understand it. I feel the rootedness of this film to our culture and mythology is the key of the success of this low budget film. Talking about music, the background music is good and I personally liked a song which has been sung by singer Kailash Kher in this film for dubbed version. Talking about performances, I am amazed by Teja Sajja who is the main lead and not to forget the main villain Vinay also surprised us with his performance. My favourite scene comes in the last, where we see Lord Hanuman and Hanumanthu alongside each other. Yes, I am going to give you the spoiler too, Jai Hanuman is the name of the second part of this film which will be released in 2025, which has been mentioned by the end of the film.

The cinematography has been done by Dasaradhi Sivendra. The editing work handled quite well by Sai Babu Talari. The music have been given by Anudeep Dev, GowraHari and Krishna Saurabh.
HanuMan movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet but it could reportedly around 25 crores maximum.
Altogether, HanuMan is a must watch movie and it will surprise audience across India despite language barriers.
