Deepika Padukone is such a big name that she is enough to bring audience to cinema theaters. She is one of the leading actress of Bollywood and her latest film Gehraiyaan is getting huge response from film critics and netizen.
Her last successful film was Padmaavat which released in 2018. After that she gave films like Chhapaak and 83 movie which released in cinema theaters. Well, if I am not wrong it is her first film which has been directly released on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. We know that she is reportedly the first female actress to give 300 crores plus film with Padmaavat in Bollywood. So definitely, people must be predicting what could have been Gehraiyaan box office collections if it had a theatrical release. So here, we are going to analyse Gehraiyaan box office potential after watching this film on OTT platform, where it has been released on February 11, 2022.

Gehraiyaan movie could have easily got 1800 to 2000 screens across India as it has been backed by Dharma Productions. Gehraiyaan movie could have easily fared 4 to 5 crore on day 1. In the first weekend from Friday to Sunday, this film could have easily collected around 15 to 17 crores nett. The word of mouth could have played a big role till the first week and this film is about complexed relationships so it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. So, the first week collections could have been impacted in a big way. So, Gehraiyaan first week collections could be around 27 to 29 crores maximum.
Gehraiyaan which has been reportedly made with around 40 crores budget, could have easily earned around 33 to 35 crores maximum in its lifetime run at the box office. That simply means that, Gehraiyaan couldn’t get the kind of response in theaters like it is getting in OTT platform. It is a perfect OTT type of film for the matured audience.
Helmed by Shakun Batra, it have been produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films. It also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Dhairya Karwa, Ananya Panday, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajat Kapoor and few others in titular roles.
