Story: The story of this film revolves around a Kindergarten School teacher Yami Gautam aka Naina Jaiswal. Naina held 16 students as hostages and calls to Supercop Atul Kulkarni aka Javed Khan. Naina says Javed to transfer 5 crores into her account or she will kill the kids. After the demand met by the police, Naina again went on to tell the police that she want to talk and meet with the Prime Minister Of India Dimple Kapadia aka Maya Rajguru. Why Naina is doing these things only be unfolded in the last 30 minutes in this film. So better watch this important film which has a strong message into it.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film is pretty much similar to the theme of A Wednesday (2008) film, still it is completely different. Yami Gautam has essayed her role brilliantly and remind us of his brilliant performance of Kaabil (2017). She is the heart of this film and the whole story is revolved around her. Some other actors Atul Kulkarni and Neha Dhupia did shine in their respective roles. The premise of this film is based of rape victims and their laws in India. The film also says as per statistics a woman is raped every 16 minutes in India. Interesting fact, Neha is actually pregnant while playing her role as a pregnant female cop. The makers did try to make it one of the best films, still it is like a hit and miss. That means, the film takes time to hold your retention and than only you start liking it. There are instances in this film when PM is being directly questioned by media journalists, which is not the right way. Dimple Kapadia get only limited time space and she did her job perfectly. The film could have been extended to some extent to give more emotional depth which is missing here to some extent. Still, a good attempt from the makers to bring something new to the platter for the audience. The series also points out how rape especially under 18 age could be detrimental to the life of that person. The film clearly states that there should be severe punishment to the rape criminals in India. The screenplay is a bit slow in the start but ok in the mid and through the end. There was definitely something missing in this film and that is visible to your eyes. The makers couldn’t give us an adrenaline rush that was the need of the moment in this film.

A Thursday movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 8 to 10 crores maximum.
Altogether, A Thursday movie is a strong story based film which has been made in an average way by the makers.
