Daagdi Chaawl 2 is the sequel of original Daagdi Chaawl movie which released in 2015. After almost 7 Years, Daagdi Chaawl is all set to hit the silver screens on August 19, 2022. The screen time of this crime drama movie is around 2 hours 13 minutes. This is a direct sequel which follows the original film.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Ankush Choudhary aka Surya Shinde who is a simpleton person living in slum areas of Mumbai. One fine Day, few gangsters starts teasing Surya’s girlfriend Pooja Sawant aka Sonal. This led to a fight between those gangsters and Surya. Ultimately, it is being known that those goons belong to Daagdi Chaawl. Well, Surya reached to Makarand Deshpande aka Daddy’s Daagdi Chaawl. After seeing the braveness of Surya, Daddy hires him and wants to work with him. Though, Surya didn’t want to work with Daddy but he has his own share of problems and that’s why he didn’t leave the ganglord. Well, Surya is being confronted by a local police inspector and to whom he tells his story why he is a part of Daddy’s gang. In the end of Daagdi Chaawl movie, we see that Surya has been brought to court against Daddy but he didn’t revealed the latter’s name. That’s where the first film end. Now in Daagdi Chaawl 2, we see that, Surya and his wife Sonal along with a kid lives far away from Mumbai away from the shadows of Daagdi Chaawl. Well, in Mumbai, Daddy is all set to contest elections across Mumbai but the opposite parties didn’t want it to happen. Amidst all these, we see that someone is trying to kill few important members of Daddy’s gang and his old friend and union leader Vilas Kamat. Now, once again, Daddy’s important member Yatin Karyekar aka Kala Coat wants Surya to be back and save Daddy and his gangmen from the backlash. Will, Surya once again go to Daagdi Chaawl and start the closed chapter again. This is what the film follows.
The film also stars Sanjay Khapre, Kamlesh Sawant, Sandeep Vasantrao Gaikwad, Gautam Berde, Yogesh Markande and many others.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is nicely written along with the dialogues. The direction is also superb by Chandrakant Kanse. Talking about performances, Makarand Deshpande is the show stellar along with Ankush. They both are the soul of this film. This background music is elevating the whole story and give much needed feel to the story. The first half ends on a high note and the climax is just over the top. The screenplay is good and there is hardly any boring scene in this film. There are few comedy scenes in this movie, rest it is totally dark film with lot of violence. The production value is good but the ultimate twist at the end is worth applauding. There are few dialogues in Hindi so it will also well connected with the audience. The famous dialogue in this movie is ‘Chukila Maafi Nahi’ by Daddy.
Daagdi Chaawl 2 movie has been written by Macchindra Bugade and directed by Chandrakant Kanse. The editing of this movie has been done by Faisal Mahadik. The musical score has been taken care by Ketaki Chakradeo. This film have been produced by Manglmurti Films.
Daagdi Chaawl 2 movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 12 to 15 crores maximum.
Altogether, Daagdi Chaawl 2 is a well made film just like the original Daagdi Chaawl. The film is a full paisa wasool. Surely a one time watch film in cinema theaters.
