Cirkus movie has hit the silver screens on December 23 and now all eyes are on its first day collections. As, we know, Rohit Shetty is one of the biggest directors in India but the early reports of this film is not so positive.
Cirkus is not like Simmba (2018) and there is no big cameo’s of Ajay Devgn or Akshay Kumar. Even, two Ranveer Singh couldn’t able to save this film on day 1. The extensive mass promotions both online and offline proves unfruitful to this movie.
Cirkus movie could have easily being released in over 3000 plus screens in India. Circus movie mornings show audience occupancy is around 7-8 percent in India, which is worst so far for a Rohit Shetty film. Even, Sooryavanshi (2021) had opened much better with 50 percent occupancy cap during covid era.
Cirkus has a strong chance to collect around 7 to 9 crores on day 1 as per current trend. The holiday period that starts from today till new year, especially for kids, is the only savior for this film.
If the makers would have added cameos of Ajay or Akshay or anyone else, than it would have been interesting. So far, the only hint the director has given is of Golmaal 5.
Cirkus movie reportedly budgeted around 98 to 100 crores and it seems that recovering is budget is also a struggling affair here. This film stars Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez and many others.
