Vipin Sharma’s MISSING to be screened at Chicago South Asian Film Festival

Actor Vipin Sharma is on cloud nine as his next MISSING, an 3-short film anthology is going to be screened at the prestigious Chicago South Asian Film Festival. MISSING is an experiment of shorts with no dialogues and intertwines three short stories of hope and loss of memories which linger in our hearts forever. Shot in the monsoons of Goa, it captures the melancholy of the rainy season which blends with the longing of its characters and the lush landscape.

Talking about the festival, Vipin Sharma says, “I am so proud that my film MISSING has been selected to screen at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, which was founded in 2010. Jigar Shah, who is the Festival Director is passionate about the connection between stories, films and community. He holds several leadership titles and is an advisory board member to various nonprofits. He serves as a jury member in other international film festivals.”

The CSAFF has been a preeminent global platform for innovative, groundbreaking, and generation-defining South Asian cinema. The festival’s mission has always been to promote South Asian art and culture by connecting artists, patrons, organizations and ideas in a weekend-long celebration of storytelling. The festival is going to be held from Sept 25th to October 2nd, 2021 in Chicago, USA.
