Made on a small budget of 20 crores, Toilet Ek Prem Katha makers have spent another 20 crores for promotion. So, the total making budget of this film stands at 40 crores. And, there is no doubt to say that Toilet Ek Prem Katha has now turned into a hit film as it has already recovered over 80 crores at the box office.

It was released in 3000 screens in India and 590 screens in the Overseas market. Due to the strong story and brilliant performances, this film has started on a good note at the box office. In the first weekend itself, it has earned a total of 51.45 crores. On Monday it earned 12 crores, which followed by Tuesday collection of 20 crores. As, Tuesday was Independence Day, so the audience occupancy was very high. With the 5 days collection, Toilet Ek Prem Katha has able to rake 83.45 crores. The gross total of India is 113 crores in 5 days.

Talking about its overseas collection, it has able to earn 16 crores in 5 days. This makes the worldwide total of Toilet Ek Prem Katha to 129 crores. By seeing the response of Toilet Ek Prem Katha at the box office, there is no doubt that this film will rake over 170 to 180 crores worldwide in its lifetime run.

Altogether, Akshay Kumar’s socially relevant drama has amazed the audience and currently, it has become the fourth highest grosser in Bollywood in 2017.
