Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha has failed to live up to the expectations for Akki fans as it couldn’t able to beat Jab Harry Met Sejal’s first day record. Though it didn’t loss with a big margin with SRK’s latest film JHMS but still it has earned lower than the expectations.

Akshay Kumar film, which opened in 3000 screens in India, has collected a sum of 13.10 crores on the first day. People were expecting this socially relevant drama to cross over 15 to 16 crores on the day one but the film failed to do so. On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal released in 3200 screens in India and managed to earn 15.25 crores on the first day.

By looking at the collection figures, it is clear that Jab Harry Met Sejal has been well received by the audience on the first day. As we know that, SRK’s film has lost its hold with in a week at the box office and currently the particular film is juggling to even reach 70 crores. Well, that’s not the case for Toilet Ek Prem Katha, as it is getting the tremendous response from film critics and audience. That clearly means that Toilet Ek Prem Katha will surely cross 100 crores magical mark at the box office.

Altogether, Toilet Ek Prem Katha might not have broken the first-day record of Jab Harry Met Sejal but it will certainly break the lifetime record of SRK’s latest film.
