The story is like, a lone scientist George Clooney aka Augustine Lofthouse is stuck in the Artic in 2049 and found that all people in the earth has been died do to some sort of powerful radiation. Now, he wants to connect to an only active spacecraft and warn them about the calamities that took place on the earth. So that, they go to some other habitable planet and start a new life. Will Augustine able to reach to the spacecraft and save the remaining few is what the story follows.

This movie is based on the novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. The budget of this movie is reportedly around USD 100 million (735 crores). George Clooney has earlier done a space film already titled as Gravity in 2013.

The early reviews of The Midnight Sky is not so pleasing and it is in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5. It got 5.3 stars out of 10 on IMDB and it also received 57 percent rating on rotten tomatoes.

Let’s first talk about Directed, co-producer and actor George Clooney. He shed almost 13 kgs to be fit in the role of Augustine. He did played a pivotal role whose character gives us a hope for life and survival at all cost. Behind the chair too, he did great direction. There is a scene that is so disturbing for me, when Maya got injured in a space craft due to meteor strike and ultimately she dies. The cinematographer needs applauds as it is not easy to shoot such films from behind the lenses. Martin Ruhe is the cameraman here. This film has been edited by Stephen Mirrione. The screenplay has been done by Mark L. Smith.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The Midnight Sky is more than just a space drama. It is emotional rooted film and slow moving. You might get bored in between but ends on a good note.

Altogether, The Midnight Sky is a good film to watch amidst in coronavirus situation as it gives us a hope for the future.

Last word: Watch it for George Clooney and the story.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: The Midnight Sky Review- First Class (60 percent out of 100).
