Sunny is the latest Malayalam movie which released on Amazon Prime OTT platform on September 23, 2021. The screen time of this musical drama film is around 1 hour 33 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Jayasurya aka Sunny, who had failed in a business in Dubai, has now landed in Kerala in the covid scenario. He is now staying in a big hotel room and thinks about his past life. Sunny is a drunkard now and on a verge of getting divorce with his love Nimmi played by Shivada Nair. So, Sunny is getting frustrated in a hotel room and thinking to kill himself as he thinks he has nothing left in his life. What will Sunny do now in such a difficult situation? will he able to start a new life again or will he get back to Nimmi is what this story is all about.
This film also stars Mamta Mohandas aka Doctor Anuradha, Vijay Babu aka Advocate Paul, Vijayaraghavan aka SI Sadashivan Nair, Aju Varghese aka Kozhi Rajesh and many others.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The main protagonist Sunny is like every common person who has lost something in Covid scenario and now grappling with life. He is alone, frustrated and almost has no one around him. You can relate to Sunny and his problems in life. Jayasurya did an excellent job as an actor and I am impressed with it. There is a kind of loneliness that you feel in almost every frame of this film, except a surprising end. This is not a film that would be loved by family audience but it is certainly something that you will love to watch while sitting alone. The weird conversations by Sunny on phone calls are something that will remind you of lockdown situations in 2020. There is a scene in this movie where Sunny kept an ant in the bottle and later freed him by saying sorry, is also tell us how emotional and carrying person he is. The unique plot is the most positive point of this film. The single character driven story is something not easy to make but the director did a decent job here. Despite all basic odds, Sunny is a good film to watch in the end.
Sunny movie has been written, co-produced and directed by Ranjith Shankar. The film also co-produced by Jayasurya himself. The cinematography has been done by Madhu Neelakandan and editing work helmed by Shameer Muhammed. The musical score and background score done by Shanker Sharma.
Sunny movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 1 to 2 crores maximum.
Altogether, Sunny movie is a one time watch and it required your complete attention if you need to understand it thoroughly.
Last Word: Watch it for Jayasurya and director Ranjith Shankar. The Cinematographer also did a good job her with camera lenses.
