Kaanekkaane is the latest Malayalam film which released on SonyLiv on September 17, 2021. The screen time of this thriller drama film is around 2 hours.
Story: The story revolves around Suraj Venjaramoodu aka Deputy Tahsildar Paul Mathai, who lost her married daughter Shruti Ramachandran aka Sherin in an accident. Paul sees that, Sherin’s husband Tovino Thomas aka Allen married with another woman Aishwarya Lekshmi aka Sneha. Sherin and Allen already had a kid name Master Alok Krishna as Kuttu. After the tragic incident, Paul one day visits Allen and Sneha’s home, where he again meet Kuttu. At that time, Paul saw something that makes him believe that Allen could have saved Sherin, who is now dead. Paul now starts suspecting Allen and even Sneha in context to Sherin’s accident. Will, Paul able to solve his daughter’s Sherin’s accident case is what follows the story.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: This film is filled up with raw emotions from the first frame to the last one. Suraj’s character of a father is so much in pain that you can relate to his sorrow for loosing his daughter. Tovino’s character is full of mess and don’t know what to do next in his life. He still regret about what happened to his first wife. Aishwarya essays the character of Tovino’s second wife in this film and she is also in trouble due to his marriage. The emotions and drama are the highlight of this film. The director has made sure to amaze the audience with this incredible story. The performances are top notch along with the story. The screenplay goes as per the story demand. It will take time for you to get into the story but when you understand the situation, you will get hooked to it. The background music create much needed tension in the middle of few scenes. Overall, a great attempt that succeeded.
Kaanekkaane have been written by Bobby and Sanjay. Manu Ashokan has helmed this film and produced by T. R. Shamsudheen. The editing work has been done by Abhilash Balachandran and the musical score given by Ranjin Raj. The cinematography work has been helmed by Alby Antony.
Kaanekkaane movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 3 to 4 crores maximum.
