Story: The story of this film revolves around Kartik Aaryan aka Bantu, who was born in a rich Jindal Family. Before anyone knows, Paresh Rawal aka Valmiki, who works for Jindal Family, has exchanged his child with Jindal’s child in Hospital. Well, now Bantu is living a normal life in Valmiki’s family, other hand his real child has been raised lavishly in Jindal’s family. What happens when Bantu knows this big truth of his life that he is a rich kid aka Shehzada. What happens next follows the rest of the story?

Here, Kriti Sanon essayed the role of a lawyer Samara, who is the female lead opposite Kartik. She has only limited screen presence but a decent one. Manisha Koirala played the role of Bantu’s mother. This film also features Ronit Roy (Bantu’s father), Rajpal Yadav, Sachin Khedekar, Ankur Rathee, Sunny Hinduja and many others.

The early reviews of Shehzada movie is out now and they are mixed to negative reviews in a range of 2 to 2.5 stars out of 5 stars. This film currently has been rated with 9.5 stars out of 10 on IMDB, whose rating may change in due course of time.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The screenplay and shots are almost frame to frame, if we compare it with the original film featuring Allu Arjun. There isn’t any heavy change in this film, which makes this film less interesting and you have a feeling that it is similar to the original in every minute when you watch in theaters. The dialogues are good but it could have been better. The one liner punchline is effective and that’s what saves the movie to somewhat. Rajpal Yadav and Rakesh Bedi were decent in their comedy skits. Now coming to the performances of actors, it is a full on show for Kartik who did a average job here, somewhere down the line, his performance looks a bit over. The naturalistic performance of Kartik is missing here for me. None the less, Kirti, Manisha Mam, Rajpal, Ronit did a decent job here in terms of acting. Even if we take a note at the original film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, that film also works only because the mass popularity of Allu Arjun, rest that film is just an average. Here too, Shehzada is just a below average film, which could have been better. Director Rohit Dhawan is doing his best here, still I am sure he can do better than that. Rohit’s film did give us some comedy break which was needed. The first half is a bit slow and the second has is something to catch out. The production value is good and this time Kartik also turns producer with this movie. Not the best of cinema I must say, as emotions and soul are missing here for me. Kartik action is good in this movie but we have seen such actions in the past, which is why it didn’t excite me. The editing could have been better and this film could have been cut short for another 20 minutes, would have been great watch. The background music is good but the songs are just forgettable and added at the wrong place in this film.

Shehzada movie screenplay and direction has been done by Rohit Dhawan. The movie have been produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Aman Gill, Allu Aravind, S Radha Krishna, Kartik Aaryan. The cinematography have been done by Sudeep Chatterjee and Sanjay F Gupta. The editing work has been handled by Ritesh Soni and the musical score given by Pritam.

Shehzada movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could be reportedly around 48 to 50 crores maximum.

Altogether, Shehzada is one time watch only if you haven’t watched the original film, else you will left disappointed.

Last Word: Watch it out only for Kartik Aryan and some comedy gags, rest this film has nothing more to offer.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: Shehzada Review- 2 stars out of 5 stars.
