Padman movie has completed 6 days at the box office in India. It is doing amazing collections even on the weekdays, thanks to Mahashivratri Festival and Valentine’s Day. It has seen a jump of almost 1 crore from day 5 to day 6.

The average audience occupancy of the day 6 was around 35 percent. It has collected 10 crores on day 1. The day 2 collection was 13.68 crores, day 3 – 16.11 crores, day 4 – 5.87 crores, day 5- 6.12 crores and day 6 is around 7.05 crores. It takes the overall total to 59.09 crores.

Padman was released worldwide in 3350 screens, in which 2750 screens belong to India. It is a strong social-message based movie and people have accepted it with an open heart. It is not the best of work by Akshay Kumar still, it is a special movie in every way.

Padman deals with the sanitary pad issues in India. It talks about Arunachalam Muruganantham, who started making low-cost sanitary pads in India for village women. It is an emotionally moving story, which is well portrayed by Akshay Kumar on the silver screen.

Helmed by R Balki, this film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in key roles. This film was being co-produced by Twinkle Khanna, who has also written the book, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is based on Arunachalam Muruganantham.

Altogether, Padman collection is decent one till now and it might end up touching 90 crores lifetime in India.
