Akshay Kumar is back with his new film Mission Raniganj which is a kind of biopic film on Jaswant Singh Gill and it has been released in theaters on October 6, 2023. The screentime of this historical drama thriller is around 2 hours 18 minutes.

Story: So, the story is based on 1989 Raniganj coal mines, where 71 miners were trapped inside the mines. It’s a do or die situation and Akshay Kumar aka Jaswant Singh Gill is taking charge to rescue them.

This film also stars Parineeti Chopra aka Nirdosh Kaur Gill, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Ravi Kishan, Pavan Malhotra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and many others.

The early reviews of Mission Raniganj movie is out now and they are in a range of 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is good and the screenplay is well written. The dialogues are also good and easy to understand. For me the best thing about this film is the casting. The actors like Ravi Kishan, Pavan Malhotra, Dibyendu shine here in a big way. Even, Akshay Kumar has performed really well in his important role. Parineeti has a small role in the film but a decent one. The VFX work of this film is very poor but if you can ignore that you will like this film. The film is located in West Bengal and most of this film has been shot in a village. It is definitely a low budgeted film but a good one. Don’t expect much from this film as we know it is a realistic film and it is mainly focused on the incident. The character artists have saved this film as there is nothing big to offer for the audience. We have seen such films made for OTT in the recent past. As, audience hardly come for such content oriented films to theaters. I personally liked the film and for me it’s a paisa vasool film.

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, this film produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Ajay Kapoor. The cinematography has been done by Aseem Mishra and the editing work done by Aarif Sheikh. The background score has been given by Sandeep Shirodkar.

Mission Raniganj movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers and it could reportedly being around 38 to 40 crores maximum.

Altogether, Mission Raniganj is surely a one time watch film in theaters.
