Maha Samudram is the latest Telugu movie which has released in cinema theaters on October 15, 2021. The screen time of this action romantic drama film is around 2 hours 36 minutes. Don’t get confused with Malayalam movie Mahasamudram released in 2006 featuring Mohanlal.
Story: The story of this film revolves around two childhood friends. Sharwanand aka Arjun and Siddharth aka Vijay. Now, Vijay is on a verge to become a cop and he is in love with Aditi Rao Hydari aka Maha. On the other hand, Arjun starts liking Anu Emmanuel aka Smitha. One fine day, Vijay enters the den of villain Garuda Ram aka Dhananjay, who deals in drugs smuggling and printing fake currencies. Dhananjay saw Vijay and they two had a major fight. Mistakenly, Dhananjay got stabbed and Vijay fled from the place. Vijay later tells the whole story to Arjun and his uncle Jagapathi Babu as Chunchu Mama. Now, Chunchu advise Vijay to flee from Vizag with his love Maha. Shockingly, Vijay leaves without Maha. Now, Maha family wants her daughter to get married as soon as possible to someone else. Here, Arjun got to know that Dhananjay is not dead and he is on a run to kill Maha and all those people related to Vijay. Will Arjun able to save himself and Maha from Dhananjay is what the story follows. Will, Vijay return again for Maha is what you need to see in this film. Even, Rao Ramesh aka Gooni Babji (elder brother of Dhananjay) has an interesting role here.

Bollywood Crazies Ratings: Before moving ahead, this film somewhat reminds me the cult Hindi film Deewar which released in 1975. Even, Vijay is the common character in both the movie, played by Amitabh Bachchan and here it is being played by Siddharth. Well come back to the film, the story is very predictable but yet it is interesting at the same time. Performance wise, Aditi shines here along with Sharwanand. Siddharth has got less screen time in this film as compared to Sharwanand. Only interesting character in this film was of Garuda Ram, whose is wrapped up somewhere around in the first half only, though I was enjoying him. There is a scene in this film where Sharwanand beating the hell out of Garuda and his men, was too much too digest. The highlight of this film was action scenes, good screenplay and decent performance. Drawbacks are, too much predictable story till the end and longer screen time of over 2 hours 30 minutes. The production value is good and you can easily watch this film once in the cinema halls.
Maha Samudram movie has been written and directed by Ajay Bhupathi. This film has been produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara. The cinematography has been done by Raj Thota and the editing work handled by Praveen K L. The musical score has been given by Chaitan Bharadwaj.
Maha Samudram movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 14 to 16 crores maximum.
Altogether, Maha Samudram movie could have been a much better film if it didn’t had predictable plot. Still, a one time watch film in theaters.
Last Word: Watch it for as it is a formula film revolves around love and friendship which hardly failed at the box office.
