Since the release of Akshay Kumar’s Laxmii on OTT platform on November 9, there is an array of negativity surrounded for this film. Most of the social media users are boycotting this film, claimed that it is nowhere near to original film Kanchana Muni 2.

Earlier, Laxmii was into controversy due to its name Laxmmi Bomb, which latter changed to Laxmii. Despite the change of name, still many wanted this film to be boycotted completely. Due to the fear of negativity, the makers hided the like dislike button on Laxmii trailer and all the promotional songs.

After the release of Laxmii, many didn’t liked the film and some of them intentionally rating this film with 1 star on IMDB. Currently, Laxmii holds 2.5 star ratings on IMDB out of 10, with a vote of over 6600 plus people. If the negative trend continues, then the rating of Laxmii will further drop to below 2 stars on IMDB. Even, Disney Plus Hotstar last release Sadak 2 on August 28 met with a similar fate and received IMDB rating of 1.1 out of 10 stars.

Directed by Raghava Lawrence, this film stars Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sharad Kelkar,Rajesh Sharma and many others in key roles.

Altogether, the negativity around this film will not hamper it completely as it is released on OTT rather than theaters.
