Laal Singh Chaddha movie has officially released across the world on August 11, 2022 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. This is an official adaptation of English film Forest Gump (1994). The screen time of this comedy drama film is around 2 hours 45 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Aamir Khan aka Laal who is a special child raised by his Punjabi mother Mona Singh. Though, he couldn’t walk when he was a child but one fine day he starts running due to an incident. Laal has a school friend Kareena Kapoor Khan aka Rupa. Over the years, Laal love for Rupa grows tenth fold. Though, Rupa always consider Laal as his best friend. In this film, we see the incredible journey of Laal from young till old. This film is totally focussed on Laal and his perspective towards life.
This film stars Naga Chaitanya, Manav Vij, Aaryaa Sharma, Kamini Kaushal and finally small but interesting cameo of superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film has been adapted beautifully but there are only few times when you will feel emotional. The first half is just above 1 hour but I didn’t felt any excitement. Even the second part is less emotional and too stretched. This is not a typical Bollywood film and has many layers to it. Though, I enjoyed this film even after watching Forest Gump but I am not sure whether audience will like it. The thrill and excitement is less but it’s Aamir Khan that is something who never disappoints. I have no complaint from Aamir, he did his best. I still feel the retention value of this film with the audience will be less. The word of mouth is decent but typical Bollywood audience might not like it. The music is A-class and I liked it too. I feel that the heart of Aamir’s character is so pure that we should learn from it. The production value of this film is good and it is visible in every frames. I feel that 100 percent hardwork have given to shape up this film and it went out well to some extent. Still, I think Laal Singh Chaddha won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. It is something different that you must experience at least once. If you haven’t seen the Original Forest Gump, than there are bigger change that you will like it. I feel the connect is somewhere missing and might not be liked by all. The story and dialogues are good but the screenplay could have been much better. The cinematography is top notch. The editing is just ok.
Laal Singh Chaddha movie budget is reportedly around 148 to 150 Crores and recovery of this kind of a budget will be a mammoth task for the makers.
Altogether, Laal Singh Chaddha is a one time watch but it won’t be liked by a family audience.
Last Word: Watch it only for Aamir Khan aka Laal Singh Chaddha atleast once. Also watch it to witness the sweetness of Kamini Kaushal at the age of 95.
