Helmet is the latest release from Zee5 OTT platform on September 3, 2021. The screen time of this comedy entertainer film is around 1 hour 44 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Aparshakti Khurana aka Lucky, who works as an entertainer in a Band, who play music in marriages. He falls in love with Pranutan Bahl aka Rupali, who is a rich girl. Now, Lucky goes to her parents to marry Rupali but her father directly rejects the marriage proposal. The reason for rejecting this marriage is, Lucky don’t earn enough that he can take care of a rich girl like Rupali. Though, Rupali loves him but can’t do anything.
Now, Lucky got an idea to rob and gets an easy money. He accompanies Abhishek Banerjee aka Sultan and Ashish Verma aka Minus. Now, the trio looted a truck full of big packets and when they opened it they found only condom packets inside. Now, the three of them decides to sale this thing in the city by opening a fake company called ‘Helmet’. Will, the three ever get caught or will Lucky able to marry Rupali is what you need to watch in this film.
The early reviews of Helmet is mixed to positive, mainly it has got good reviews in a range of 3 to 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. This film currently holds 7.4 stars out of 10 on IMDB.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: First of all, seeing Aparshakti Khurana as a lead is pretty exhilarating. He is gem of an actor and he has proved in previous roles as a side actor. This film, he hits the ball for a 6 with his performance. He do remind us of his talented brother Ayushmann Khurrana. The other actors Abhishek and Ashish did gave a decent performance here. Seeing Dino Morea in a cameo role was interesting. Well, the story was good and the screenplay was also a decent one. Good that the makers didn’t stretched this film past 2 hours. There are few dialogues that will stick with you in this movie. The timing of all the three actors were good, which made this film watchable or it could have been gone either side. Pranutan did gave a short but impressive performance. The chemistry between Rupali and Lucky were visible. Ashish Vidyarthi had a small role in this movie and it felt that he was wasted in this movie. The movie did make us laugh but it could have made a bigger impact if the makers have made it more engaging and more emotional in the end. Still, a decent movie, and surely a one time watch. Kudos to the director for making a decent enough film for the fans.
Directed by Satram Ramani, this movie has been produced by Dino Morea. The editing work has been done by Manish Pradhan and musical score by Dipanjan Guha. Rohan Shankar has written the dialogues and screenplay of this film.
The budget of Helmet movie hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be in a range of 4 to 6 crores maximum.
Altogether, Helmet is a good film with a great message of over population in a country like India.
