Gold Movie Box Office Collection Day 2

Reema Kagti directorial film Gold has shocked the Bollywood trade by getting a drop of around 70 percent in India. This is a major drop for a film which is as good as Dangal. It has earned in the single digit figure on day 2.

Gold, which released in 3000 plus screens in India, has collected 25.25 crores on day 1. The second day average occupancy was around 27 to 28 percent which was around 75 to 80 percent on day 1. This big fall in the collection is unpredictable and unacceptable for a film, which won both critics and audience heart.

The second day of Gold was a working day and that’s why collection remains around 8 crores. It has taken the two days accumulative total to 33.25 crores. From here on, 100 crores is easily possible as it has a 9 days long run. But the only problem for Gold is, it is facing a serious clash with Satyameva Jayate, which is receiving better occupancy than Akshay Kumar film.

Akshay in this movie plays an important role of Tapan Das, who takes an oath to bring Gold Medal in India as a free nation. His character has been a strong part of this film, along with Sunny Singh, Amit Sadh and Vineet Kumar Singh.

This film is high on content and less on commercial value that’s may be the only reason why it faces a bigger drop on day 2 than Satyameva Jayate.

Altogether, Gold will again come back strongly in Saturday and Sunday. It has a bright chance to cross 100 crores in 8-9 days.
