Telugu film Gatham released on Amazon Prime on November 6, 2020. This film had a screentime of around 1 hour 41 minutes which is apt for this crime thriller.

This film is set in USA and all the scenes has been shot there. Gatham movie story is very twisted and there are lot of high and low points. Till the mid time, the story plot almost change as the hero turns out to be a villain and the villain turns out to be a hero. It’s better not to reveal the whole story, but yes it is interesting.
Gatham movie stars Bhargava Poludasu, Rakesh Galebhe, Poojitha Kuraparthi, and many others. This film has been written and directed by Kiran Kondamadugula. I personally liked the editing work of this film. Right from the first ariel shot to the last closing shot at the river, the editor did a great work. Just like a Hollywood movie, the cameraman took great shots. Especially, I like a car chase sequence where police cars were behind the actors. That particular scene remind me of Fast And Furious movies. The screenplay did make you feel like you are watching a Hollywood flick and that’s what is interesting.
The first half will make you confuse a bit but the second half is much more entertaining. The acting department was not up to the mark and that’s why the film didn’t evoke the much needed adrenaline rush at the end. Still, the film did make us surprise at several instances.
Plus Point: Editing, Cinematography were top notch. The story is good.
Drawbacks: The performances were less of emotions. The film lost its track in midway still it did well.
The budget of Gatham hasn’t been revealed yet but it would be reportedly over 15 to 18 crores easily.
The early response from film critics for Gatham is in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5. That means you can easily watch this movie without a doubt.
Last word: Watch it for its story and Hollywood type of editing and cinematography.
