Dhaakad is a latest Hindi film which has officially released in cinema theaters on May 20, 2022. The screen time of this action thriller film is around 2 hours 12 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around International Task Force(ITF), which is an organisation formed by Indian government. Here, Kangana Ranaut aka Agent Agni is the core member of this ITF who got a task to find out about the human trafficking that is going on from India and had a connection with Budapest, Captial of Hungary country. Agent Agni finds out that Arjun Rampal aka Rudraveer and his accomplice Divya Dutta aka Rohini are behind this human trafficking who operates from Sohagpur Coal Fields, Bhopal. Now, Agni has been given another task by her mentor Saswata Chatterjee, who is head of ITF. Well, the twist in the tale is, even Agent Agni had some past connection with Rudraveer, which makes this operation even more personal. Will, Agent Agni able to destroy the human trafficking nexus and put an end on it is what you need to watch in this film.
The early reviews of Dhaakad movie is out and they are highly negative and even mixed. Hardly, this film got any positive reviews but that doesn’t mean that Kangana’s role was bad. Kangana’s character and action scenes are best and she proved why she is Queen of Bollywood in terms of acting and action. Dhaakad reviews across news media is in a range of 1.5 to 2 stars out of 5 stars.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film is good but the screenplay is total letdown which is why even the finest performance of Kangana aka Agni looks dull. Well, the dialogues are forgettable except one, when Agni says ‘Rooh Se Jism Alag Karna Business Hai Mera.’ The introductory action scene and the post interval action of Kangana is a treat to watch. The cinematography, action scenes, and Kangana, these three things have worked 100 percent for me. As nobody is bigger than the story and that’s where this film looses its audience. There is hardly any entertainment and emotions in this film which is a big drawback for such big event film.Though its Razneesh Ghai’s first film as a director, he did impressed us with technicalities and actions scenes but he need to more focus on its story, which is the most important part of a film. I personally believe that, I haven’t seen such kind of actions done by any Hindi film heroines or other film industry heroines in India. Kangana is just brilliant as an actor as well as an action star and other Heroines should learn something from Kangana rather than just being fillers for heroes in movies. She reminds me of early days of Hindi cinema where Fearless Nadia aka Mary Ann Evans used to do action films like Hunterwali (1935) and Hunterwali ki Beti (1943). Those were the times, when whole Hindi film is revolved around female protagonist. None the less, Kangana Ranaut did her best and she should get some recognition for her role. Though most of the critics rated negative about this film but none of them said negative things about Kangana’s epic role. There are hardly few songs which didn’t give much impact to the story. One thing is sure, many such films should be made in India as such content will be different and fresh for the audience. The production value of this film is good and its visible everywhere. The cinematography of this film is amazing along with its action sequences. Definitely worth a try for once for cinema lovers as it is not a masala film for the masses.
Dhaakad movie story creation and direction done by Razneesh Ghai. It have been produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai. The cinematography has been done by Tetsuo Nagata and the editing work helmed by Rameshwar S Bhagat. The background score has been given by Dhruv Ghanekar and the music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Badshah and others. The dialogues have been written by Ritesh Shah.
Dhaakad movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly be around 58 to 60 crores maximum.
Altogether, Kangana has lived up the role in the best possible way and I am certainly impressed with the action sequences and cinematography despite weak story.
