Censor Board Says, No More Drinking And Smoking In Bollywood Movies

A big decision is being announced from the Censor Board department that will shock whole Bollywood. At the latest, Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani announced that there will be no more drinking and smoking scenes to be allowed in UA films.

U/A certificate means an unrestricted public exhibition subject to parental guidance for children below the age of twelve. If the movie wants to certify under this category than they should not use liquor or cigarette in their films. If they will do so that the film will be passed with an Adult certificate.

Talking about the same Pahlaj Nihalani said, “Merely putting a ticker warning at some remote corner of the screen whenever there is smoking or drinking shown, is not enough anymore. We feel the superstars who are followed by millions and who set an example in societal behavior must not be shown drinking or smoking on screen unless the provocation for doing so is really strong.”

Nihalani also adds, “A film where alcohol is essential would have to go with a Adults certificate.” This means that there should be no more Devdas in the near future. In the recent film Munna Michael, there was no drinking scenes showed and that’s why it is being given UA certificate.

Altogether, this news will really stir the whole Bollywood in a big way.
