Army Of The Dead is the latest zombie action flick released on Netflix on May 21, 2021. The screentime of this movie is around 2 hours 28 minutes.

The story of this film revolves around Dave Bautista aka Scott Ward who got an assignment to stole USD 200 million dollars from a hotel in Las Vegas which is now a zombie land. Even, the US government announced that they will destroy the whole city of Las Vegas in order to kill the zombies in this city. Now, Scott Ward has 96 hours time to get this assignment done with the help of his team members. If Scott able to do that then he will get USD 50 million for this assignment. So, the story is pretty clear, Scott is in Las Vegas with his team members and thousands of zombies. Will he able to pull this heist in this zombie land is what the story is all about. Scott gets a help from Ella Purnell aka Kate Ward, who is Scott’s daughter. Ana de la Reguera aka Maria Cruz, who is Scott’s friend. Matthias Schweighofer aka Ludwig Dieter.
This movie also stars Huma Qureshi aka Geeta, who is a single mother, Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raul Castillo and many others.
The early reviews of Army Of The Dead is out now and it has got 6.1 stars ratings out of 10 on IMDB. It also holds 71 percent ratings out of 100 on RottenTomatoes. This film also got 57 percent ratings out of 100 on Metacritic website. The overall ratings of Army Of The Dead is around 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 on an average.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: Army Of The Dead is a high production value film with good amount of sound mixing. The start of this film is slow but you will get hooked in the first hour of the film. The action sequences are not too good but up the mark. This film remind you of Money Heist Webseries and also about Train 2 Busan 2 movie, which also based on money heist in Zombie Land. I liked Scott’s character and it has his own emotional struggle in life. At some point you will find this movie a bit long but still it’s worth watch. Actually, this movie is like a breath of fresh air in such tough times of lockdown and pandemic. I was surprised to see Huma Qureshi in Geeta’s character and I am happy to see her in such a big Hollywood film. I wish her role could have been abit more but its ok. Zack Snyder has been associated with this film in multiple ways and I liked his larger than life approach of presenting a film. The action sequence in the casino in the second half of the film was my favourite one. I also liked the cinematography of this movie, the larger than life shots are my favourite here. Especially, I love long lengthy movies which has big starcast and good story plot. The emotional appeal lacks in this film and you loose attention at quite a few times, these are only some of the drawbacks of this action entertainer.

Army Of The Dead movie budget hasn’t been officially revealed but it would reportedly be around 100 to 110 million (729 crores to 802 Crores).
Altogether, Army Of The Dead is a clearly made zombie saga that you will feel thrilled at the end. Still, the audience were expecting much more from this film and they may be disappointed to some extent.
Last word: Watch it for Dave Bautista role, action sequences and offcourse India’s Huma Qureshi, though in a small role.
