Ardh is the latest Hindi movie which has officially released on OTT platform Zee5 on June 10, 2022. The screen time of this family drama film is around 1 hour 24 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Rajpal Yadav aka Shiva aka Parvathi. So Shiva is a struggling actor with a short height married with Rubina Dilaik aka Madhu. They both live in a slum area with their only child Swastik Tiwari aka Chintu. Due to dire-some situations, Rajpal Yadav turns transgender and earns living by begging on the Mumbai street. Meantime, he even tries his hands in acting and do auditions for various roles. Despite constant rejection, Shiva dreams to be a big actor some day. Soon, we see that Shiva gets into more trouble as the expenses of his family getting increased with each passing day. Will, Shiva stop dreaming and get a job to earn the living for his family is what this film is all about.
This film also stars Hiten Tejwani aka Satya, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Akashdeep Sabir, Raju Shrestha and many others.

The early reviews of Ardh movie is out now and they are in a range of 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 stars. This film also holds around 8.3 stars ratings out of 10 stars on IMDB.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story has been well written, emotional and relatable. The dialogues are even meaningful and situational. The execution of this film is poor which is the only thing this film lacks. The songs in this movie are well written and performed and will stay with you. The performance by Rajpal Yadav is one of its kind and you won’t forget it in your entire life. Palash Muchhal debut direction is commendable as the heart of this film is at the right place. I find this film incredible and situational. The characters in this film are relatable and that’s where the film scores for me. This film is layered and talks on various aspects of life. The core message of this film is just take the life as it comes on your way and never give up on your dreams. We have mostly seen Rajpal as comedian but he is a true actor and has given his 110 percent here in this movie. He should be credited for his incredible role and we wish this film gets its due from the audience. Though a low budget film, still one of my favourite in 2022. The best thing I find in this film is every shot has been taken as it is. Like, the inside shot of Shiva home literally tells you his poor background. The scene where Madhu bargains with a Sabjiwala for Tomato clearly tells us they are financially not ready to lead a happy life in this hustle-bustle city. I must mention, Rubina also surprised me in her simpleton role as a housewife. A feel good film yet different and yet simple.
The story, music, screenplay has been written and directed by Palash Muchhal. The cinematography has been done by Parvez Pathan and the editing work helmed by Nitin FCP.
Ardh movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet by the makers but it could reportedly be around 2 to 3 crores maximum.
Altogether, Ardh is a one time watch film with the family and friends. A perfect film for you if you dream to be an actor.
Last Word: Watch it for Rajpal Yadav’s incredible performance and simpleness of Rubina’s character. Palash Muchhal is extremely talented and has a long way to go.
