Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has signed one of his most exciting and thrilling film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. In this movie, Akshay will essay the role of Maratha warrior Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Akshay Kumar took to social media to reveal this big detail to everyone. Akshay tweets in Hindi which translated in English as, “Today I am starting the shooting of Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ in which I am fortunate to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will do my best by taking inspiration from his life and with the blessings of Maa Jijau! Keep blessing.” He even attached a photo where we can see him praying hands for the legend Maratha warrior.

This film will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, with whom Akshay Kumar reportedly working for the first time. This film will be produced by Vaseem Qureshi. Note, this film has been announced by political leader Raj Thackeray in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde almost 2 months ago.

Akshay Kumar had a trouble some year in 2022 with 5 films failing in theaters and OTT. He was last seen in a cameo appearance in An Action Hero movie released on December 2, 2022. Now, he will next be seen in Oh My God 2, Selfiee, Tamil film Sorarai Pottru Hindi remake. He will also work on his first ambitious webseries The End from 2023 which is being produced by Amazon Prime Studios.
