De De Pyaar De is one of those films, where Ajay Devgn has been overshadowed by two leading ladies Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu. In the first half of the film Rakul rules the roost, whereas Tabu rules in the second half. Now, the biggest question here is, will De De Pyaar De able to cross 100 crores?
Before the release of the film, we all were touting for 200 crores from DDPD, but by looking at the film, it is being clear that it is not for majority of single screen audience. Because, if we analyse the first three days, than the collections were below the expectations to a film, which got good reviews from critics and audience. In the first three days itself, the collection looks around 38 to 39 crores. That means, this film will have to collect another 61 crores to make it into 100 crores club.
I must say, Monday will be a crucial day for this film to understand the psyche of the film. if the film drops its collection below 6-7 crores on day 4, than 100 crores will not be possible. Even, if this film collection 20 crores in first weekdays, than too it will touch 59-60 crores in first week. Now, let me tell you one more thing, the second week DDPD will face a clash with India’s Most Wanted starring Arjun Kapoor. At that time, DDPD will loose almost 1000 screens , which is right now 3100 screens. So from second week onwards, DDPY has to collect 40 to 41 crores to touch 100 crores mark by facing a threat with Arjun’s film.
If IMW couldn’t able to perform well, then there is a slightest chance for DDPY to earn big. Otherwise, DDPY could rake up around 85 to 90 crores lifetime. As, DDPD is a multiplex audience film, not a single screen one.
