Riteish Deshmukh and Salman Khan starrer Ved movie has surprised the trade in the first weekend with its monstrous collections in Maharashtra. The good thing here is, Ved movie has also passed the Monday litmus test, which is crucial for any film. As, most of the films fails on Monday to deliver big numbers but Ved has passed the Monday test with flying colours.

Released in 700 screens plus in Maharashtra, Ved movie has collected 2.25 crores nett on day 1. It has been followed by 3.25 crores collections on day 2. On day 3, it has ultimately collected 4.50 crores nett. On day 4, Ved movie has again managed to collect reportedly around 3.02 crores nett. This takes the four days total around 13.02 crores nett. That means Monday collections are bigger than Friday.

On day 5, Ved movie has seen a decent audience occupancy of around 10 to 11 percent on Morning shows in Maharashtra. From here on, the collections will again be over 1 crores without a doubt. It has a strong chance to earn around 2 to 3 crores on day 5, which may take the total around 15.02 to 16.02 crores. As the holiday period is over now, still Ved movie has enough potential to maintain decent collection throughout the week.

From here on, Ved movie first week collections look in a range of 17 to 18 crores nett which is best return. Directed by Riteish Deshmukh himself, this film features Salman Khan too in a cameo role. And real life couple Riteish and Genelia D’souza.
