Valimai is the latest Pan India film which has officially released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi versions on February 24, 2022. The screentime of this action thriller film is around 2 hours 58 minutes.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Chennai city where crime and robbery has increased due to illegal bikers gang. This gang is also behind illegal activities including smuggling of a drug powder. Now, Ajith Kumar aka ACP Arjun has shifted from Madurai city to Chennai to bust the bikers gang. Soon, it has been noted that bikers gang is involved in multiple chain snatching, murder, and drugs. Now, with the help of Narcotics department officer Huma Qureshi aka Sophia, ACP Arjun is all set to stop the menace of this illegal bike gang who does multiple crimes in Chennai city. Well, we all know that the main person behind this illegal bike gang is Kartikeya Gummakonda aka Wolfranga. Will, ACP Arjun able to put Wolfranga behind the bars is what this story is all about.
This movie also stars Gurbani Judge, Sumithra, Dhruvan, Achyuth Kumar, Dinesh Prabhakar, G M Sundar, Selva and many others.
The early reviews of Valimai movie is out now and they are in a range of 2 to 2.5 stars out of 5 stars. This film currently holds 8.1 stars out of 10 stars on IMDB.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The film is full on action thriller from start to end. There is only few scenes of emotions and that too in the second half. The first half ends smoothly on a high note with an action sequence. The problem is with the second half where the story seems like a bit stretched and overloaded. The film lacks emotions but yes it is high on action and huge some of money has been spent on that. Another good thing is that, this film is par with the action movies that we see in Hollywood. The standard of action scenes and bike sequences hasn’t been seen in India ever in this way. Talking about the performances, both Kartikeya and Ajith Kumar have done their part pretty well. The best thing about this film apart from action is it’s background score by Ghibran. Yes, the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is applaud worthy. The production value is also good and that looks visible in every frame. The writing is weak and that is why it didn’t get connected with the audience in a proper way. As I saw this film in Hindi dubbed version, dubbing artist Sanket Mhatre voice doesn’t suit to Thala Ajith. Apart from that, the dubbing for other actors is decent. The screenplay is not up to the mark and this film has flaws especially in the middle of second half. There isn’t any songs to cheer up for the audience, which is also a big negative point.
This movie has been written and directed by H Vinoth. It has been produced by Boney Kapoor. The cinematography has been done by Nirav Shah and the editing work handled by Vijay Velukutty. The musical score has been given by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Valimai movie budget hasn’t been revealed yet by the makers but it could be reported around 110-120 crores maximum.
Altogether, Valimai is one of those action thriller films of India that is certainly a one time watch. It is high on action but low on emotions.
