1. Khiladi (1992)

Khiladi is one of Akshay’s early hits which given him a title of Mr. Khiladi of Bollywood or Khiladi Kumar. It has all the masala element of an entertaining film and a must watch for all the die-hard Akki fans. It was directed by Abbas Mustan, which also stars Ayesha Jhulka, Deepak Tijori and Sabeeha.

2. Mohra (1994)

Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tondon and Naseeruddin Shah forms a great star cast in this. Who will forget Tu Cheez Badi Hai and Tip Tip Barsa Pani song. It was time, when there were Tape Cassettes available in the market and you could here these two song everywhere. A well-made film

3. Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996)

Though, it is not a sequel to Khiladi but it has a lot of action that you will never forget. This was the first time when Wrestling has been shown in a film in a big way and how Akki beats Undertaker (not real) was a treat to watch. A sensuous song between Rekha and Akshay was another oomph factor in this film.

4. Hera Pheri (2000)

It was a remake of 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking and it was for the first time we have noticed Akshay as a comedian. What a great film it was, still audience will watch without a break. This paved the way for Akshay into comedy genre. It was also a time when he had a series of 14 flops in a row.

5. Singh Is Kinng (2008)

After a dry phase for almost 5 years, Akki come back with a whole new avatar in Singh Is Kinng. A well made film by Anees Bazmee has worked out well for Happy Singh aka Akshay. It also featured Katrina Kaif and Om Puri in key roles.

6. Rowdy Rathore (2012)

The gritty fight scenes and whistle-blowing dialogues were all part in this film produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It was another official remake of Telugu film Vikramarkudu and it worked out perfectly for Akshay.

7. Special 26 (2013)

In 2013, it was for the first time he picked a topic which was realistic and interesting. This film was based on a real incident and it has amazing star cast. It was a hit and Akshay’s role was lauded by fans and critics.

8. Baby (2015)

I personally loved this film and the strong character played by Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Rana Daggubatti and Taapsee Pannu. Directed Neeraj Pandey has given another major hit with Baby after Special 26 for Akshay.

9. Rustom (2016)

In this film, Akshay has essayed the role of Rustom Pavri and it was based on infamous KM. Nanavati case of 1959. Akshay as a Navy Officer have mesmerised the critics and audience on one go. For this work, Akshay has won the National award for Best actor.

10. Pad Man (2018)

I could have picked up any of his other films in last 2 years but i feel Pad Man was much more than just a film. Akshay has portrayed this character with utter honesty and this is why I loved this film. Apart from that, this subject was so taboo that no one had a dare to make a film like this and so it is one of my personal favourits too.

Altogether, there are many of his works that are highly credible and watchable. But, this are some of the films that I wish all Akshay Kumar fans must watch to know more about him as a performer and as a human being.
