Well, 2018 will certainly be a year of clashes at the box office. And the proof is, in the first big week of 2018, there are three new movies facing each other at the box office. Kaalakaandi versus Mukkabaaz versus 1921 has hit the theaters today. Well, these three are low budget movies and will have a tough time at the box office due to its clash with Salman Khan starring Tiger Zinda Hai, which is in its fourth week.
In such a scenario, screen count matters the most. And as these are small films, it didn’t get big screen count as Tiger Zinda Hai got in its first week, which was 4600 screens.

Here are the details of All the four movies screen count as on January 12, 2018:
Tiger Zinda Hai – 800 Screens
1921 – 1000 Screens
Kaalakaandi – 1100 Screens
Mukkabaaz – 950 Screens
If we take a look at these new releases, it has a same amount of screens at the box office. Even Tiger Zinda Hai screen count has been reduced from 2500 screens from the third week to 800 screens in its fourth week. In this way, every film has a chance to overpower others as none of them have a big screen count. From here, only the best film able to lure the audience.
Talking about the audience occupancy, the three new releases has opened around 7 to 8 percent on the day one morning shows. So, it will be a tough task for all the films to get the audience, who have four options to watch.
