Thug Life is the latest Tamil film which has released in india in pan-India level including Hindi version on June 5, 2025. The screen time of this film is reportedly around 2 hours 45 minutes. This film has been certified with UA 16+ by Indian Censor Board.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Kamal Haasan aka Sakthivel who is a gangster. In one of the encounters with police Sakthivel saw a small child crying Infront of dead father. So, Sakthivel took the crying child and raised him who turned into Silambarasan T aka Amaran. This film also stars Trisha Krishnan aka Indrani, Ali Fazal, Nassar and many others in key roles.
Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story of this film is simple and it had some good dialogues too. The first part of this film is good and the interval point is great. The film is slow in the second half but ends on a good note. This film could have been better but still a one time watch. The screenplay has some issues but still ok. The background music is decent and it is passable. Talking about performances, Kamal Haasan is superb. Silambarasan is also ok but his performance could have been much better. Ali Fazal is good in his Cameo type of role. Trisha is such a sweetheart. The production value is good and the makers left no stone unturned to make this movie visually rich. The cinematography is ok and editing is also good. The fighting sequence in black and white color in the start of this film is the highlight for me. The editing

Altogether, Thug Life is surely a one time watch and that too only for Kamal Haasan. Silambarasan role could have been better crafted here. The tiff between the lead could have been much better.
