Four time national award winner Kangana Ranaut starring Thalaivii, which is a biopic on late J Jayalalithaa has released in theaters on September 10, 2021. The screen time of this periodic drama film is around 2 hours 33 minutes. This film has released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions across India.
Story: The story of this film is based on a book ‘Thalaivii’ by Ajayan Bala. The film talks about Kangana Ranaut aka Jayalalithaa journey from entering films to getting entangled in a love affair with Arvind Swami aka MJR. Later in the life, she enters into male dominant Tamil Politics and make a name of her known.
Thalaivii movie also stars Nassar aka M. Karunanidhi, Bhagyashree aka Sandhya (Kangana’s mother), Raj Arjun aka R. M. Veerappan (Hindi), Samuthirakani aka R. M. Veerappan (Tamil and Telugu), Madhu Bala aka V. N. Janaki Ramachandran, Jisshu Sengupta aka Sobhan Babu, Poorna aka V. K. Sasikala, Flora Jacob aka Indira Gandhi and many others.

Thalaivii movie has been directed by A. L. Vijay. The story have been written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, Madhan Karky (Tamil), and Rajat Arora (Hindi version). Thalaivii movie have been produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Shailesh R Singh and Brinda Prasad. The cinematography has been done by Vishal Vittal and music by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The editing work handled by Anthony and Ballu Saluja.
Thalaivii movie budget hasn’t been revealed by the makers but it could reportedly in a range of 45 to 50 crores maximum.
