Kangana Ranaut’s Simran and Farhan Akhtar’s Lucknow Central, both movies released this Friday. At the latest, the first-day final collection is out now and both the films performed below the average.

Kangana Ranaut starring film has earned 2.77 crores on the first day. It has performed better in metro cities as compared to the small cities. The budget of this film is over 20 crores and this collection promises that Simran will recover its budget. Directed by Hansal Mehta, Simran also stars Soham Shah in key roles.
On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar’s jailbreak drama Lucknow Central has opened poorly on the first day. It has collected 2.04 crores on the day 1. The collection is far below the expectations. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, this film also stars Gippy Grewal, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy and Deepak Dobriyal. Both the movies have over 1000 screen count and released in a similar way. They were not being promoted extensively and that’s why the collections will depend upon the audience.
Altogether, Simran still has an upper hand in a male-dominated film Lucknow Central.
